Working with the app again - testing my patience!
Over the last week things have begun to move forward with the project - Hurrah!
Someone has kindly rewrote some of my colourless audio descriptions, which has been a real blessing as my creativity is still away on its holidays. The directions were recorded, but not uploaded due to issues with the app.
I have added all the captions and reference numbers to the works in the app, added the audio directions, and added all the written audio descriptions that are complete to go alongside the pictures. Another precious day of my life doing what could of been done in less than an hour. The app creator is not user friendly, proactive, or intuitive and my equipment is the best apple provide with the best internet Cornwall has to offer.
Still to do - Add directions in text to the app
Record audios
Add audios
Add any additional information
Test the walk
I’m frustrated that after offering someone assistance with recording that they refused said the app creator was going to met them to help them, only to now find out he was to busy to help them. Which now I’ve started working I will have to find time to assist them.
What have I learnt ?
That other people are still interested and want the project to succeed
To manage my frustrations and learn some extreme patience
To ask future team members and trainers on projects questions to ensure clarity and transparency.
“well it doesn’t matter if it doesn’t get done’ - isn’t the best way to motivate a team to achieve.
What will I do going forward ?
Dig deep and get on with it, as there’s 2 weeks to go until the finish date.
